What can happen with average audio for your wedding ceremony?

Time and time again we have encountered the scenario where clients have opted to go with the lacklustre in-house PA system or the celebrant's portable PA. These systems are usually only designed to provide audio for small crowds only. This scenario has a common theme, here are a few things we've encountered;

Entrances: If an appropriately skilled AV operator isn't present, we have seen in the past that cues for special moments such as the bride's entrance or the announcement of 'husband & wife' can be missed or poorly timed. We believe the impact this has on your ceremony is immense. We want you to be able to relax and enjoy the moment without worrying about the music. 

One of the most uncomfortable situations we've encountered is when undesirable sounds, such as notification bells playing because the operator left Whats App Web open on their desktop. Or even worse, a 'Sportsbet' ad unexpectedly playing because the entrance song was being streamed from YouTube. 

Chatty Guests: A common thing that happens in this scenario is when your guests start chit-chatting during important moments of the ceremony. Ironically, it's usually them complaining to each other that they can't hear what the person with the mic is saying. This background noise can disrupt the emotional impact of your ceremony, detracting from the experience we want for both yourselves and your guests. The lack of clear audio can make these significant moments feel less special and memorable. We believe it's essential to ensure every word is heard, so everyone can fully appreciate and participate in the ceremony. 

Squeaky Microphones: Too often do we see and hear microphone feed back at wedding ceremonies. Feed back is the high-pitched squeaky noise that occurs typically when mics aren't tuned properly and are too close to PA speakers. This squeaking noise is extremely disruptive and could wake a sleeping koala in a neighbouring suburb.
